Wayzata has good schools and a bus line passing through it. The bus follows 394 from Wayzata to downtown Minneapolis with stops at Ridgedale Mall and some other places along the way.

Apple Valley has many townhome developments within walking distance to the transit station and the schools are excellent. There are express buses into Minneapolis and buses that go all over the area.

Default Good Schools around the U

Wayzata schools are tops, no question about it. My son went there and his education was outstanding. Wayzata schools encompass the cities of Wayzata, parts of Plymouth, parts of Minnetonka and parts of Maple Grove. You can hitch a bus from any of those cities.

Maple Grove might be a good spot because it's not too far from North Hennepin Technical College, the local community college in the area. Not to mention the fact that is has awesome shopping and restaurants, an outstanding community center and a brand new transit station.

Another area that has great schools is Edina. It's close to freeways and Normandale College.

It all depends on your price range of home that you are looking for. None of those areas are inexpensive, however, you want to look at the value. You're going to love it here!

I agree with the last statement, you are going to love it here. Any of the western suburbs are connected by busline and have pretty good schools. Not all have public transportation to the community colleges without going through downtown. I'd check that item first.
