It's also the biggest state tournament anywhere in the country too - more than basketball in ID, baseball in Cali or Florida, or football in Texas.

I really think that it would be fun to spend a week in every corner of the state. I've not yet been to Northwestern MN but I've passed through extreme Southern and Southwestern MN on the way to SD. Are Western and Northwestern at all similar to Southwestern MN? I'm curious if there would be any change in scenery if I were to drive north from Luverne to Hallock and/or Noyes. Say that I were to take US-75 (or any other route, for that matter) northward without leaving Minnesota. I'd imagine that I would need more than one visit to see every part of this huge state. In addition to visiting the legendary Northwoods, North Shore, the Twin Cities and the neat rivertowns along the Mississippi I also want to see the interior parts of Minnesota as well as Rochester. Stillwater, Hastings, Red Wing, Wabasha and Winona look like neat river towns.

Most of the people I've met are very responsible and professional. I'm working in Colorado for the summer and the "I don't care" attitude here is pretty infuriating. I'll be looking forward to going back to a place where I work with and enjoy the services of top-notch professionals.

Best thing for ME is that my wife is here. If she weren't, that would definitely change the equation for me. Not that Minnesota isn't a good choice, but there are other choices I like as much. Probably not the ones most people would bring up.

Ski-doos. That's another thing we call snowmobiles. I know it's just a brand, but my grandmother and others of her age group always called them ski-doos. Or we'd call it sledding. I am submitting my appeal to be allowed back into the state after being kicked out nearly 7 years ago for never being on a snowmobile before. (I kid, I kid.)

Actually, I am moving back, mid-September. I will more than likely be without a job but I'm confident that I'll be able to land one quickly. I've done more over the phone interviews in Minnesota than I have face to face interviews in Salt Lake in the last 6 months.

To me, the best part of Minnesota (other than my family) is the warmth and kindness of others. A few summers ago, I flew into Hibbing and had my sister pick me up at the airport. She was running a little late from a trip to Duluth. I was on the last flight of the day (late afternoon) and the airport closed so they made me sit outside. Rather than sitting alone by myself, a local lady sat with me to keep me company and after ten minutes of talking she invited me over to her house for coffee. I think it is a pretty big deal in Minnesota if anyone invites you over for coffee, it's a true show of friendship and hospitality. I declined as I could see my sister's car off in the distance but I have never once received that sort of kindness in Utah. I'm starting over from scratch. I don't have friends there from childhood or high school. I have to make new friends just like everyone else. I think it'll be okay though.

Also, if you have any questions about the Falls, send me a message.

LOL, oh yeah...New Hampshire huh? That's the state which had one of their state representatives just resign after making allegations that the Boston Marathon Bombing was carried out by the government....that about right? Seems to me, New Hampshire has enough trouble figuring out what's going on closer to home without worrying about what we're doing.

Serving in her second term in the House, Tremblay made national headlines in April after she backed up claims the Boston Marathon bombings might have been a government-sponsored "false flag" meant to take away civil liberties. After controversy erupted, she apologized and then reiterated her belief that more questions needed to be asked into the government's role even as the suspect admitted guilt and the motive.

Thank you very much, I greatly appreciate that! I'll have to take you up on that! I enjoyed reading that story about the nice lady in Hibbing and I definitely noticed the warmth and hospitality of the Minnesotans during my visit to the beautiful state of Minnesota!
