Tip 1: Enjoyment of beer is crucial. Stearns county residents consume LOTS of beer. This leads to tip 2: Use the local transit system and buses. Tip 3: Learn your way around quick so you can avoid the disaster that is Division (The main road through town). This clogs up each and every time I'm there for some reason. It may have to do w/ it being a college town and a gateway to the northland from I-94. Plus every main business is on this road. There are many ways around and you'll save lots of time learning them. Tip 4: be friendly. The locals, while sometimes MN tight-lipped, are friendly folks. Tip 5: Enjoy the area's lakes. Swimming and fishing abound. The old quarry's are good swimming holes.

I only have 5 so someone else can fill the rest in.

6) Enjoy visiting Mussinger and Clemens Gardens on the banks of the Mississippi River.

I don't know how old you are, so maybe the beer suggestions are more to your liking.
I enjoy walks in the gardens with my grandchildren or by myself. My husband and I are wanting to move to the St. Cloud area soon.

Munsinger Clemens Botanical Society - Welcome

I forgot about Munsinger gardens. Even someone who likes beer will like for relaxation after a night of indulgences. Good choice.

How come St Cloud's sales tax is higher than places like Fridley and Roseville? Do they have a council that loves to fund things with local surtaxes?

1: don't live near st cloud state university (scsu) 2: green lights don't mean go, they mean wait until everyone is done running the red light...then you can go 3: definitely learn to avoid division as well as 2nd st S 3: learn to hold your breath...there is a large somali population and 90% of them stink terribly 4: be very selective of wich apts you move into...there are a lot of crappy ones due to all the college students and slumlords

Other than that it really is a great town, I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon
