after today's win there are just three teams with more wins than the Twins, a win tomorrow puts them in 1st place. Just like '65 and '85 (except for '85)...All Star and World Series both being held inside the Twins ballpark the same year.

That is promising. Too bad every other team in their division is also doing OK so far. Just two games separate first from last (last place KC is 10-11). Hope they can win the weekend series against the Tigers. Agree: the All Star game will be even more special with the Twins leading the division or at least contending closely.

Meanwhile, kudos to the Wild for evening their NHL playoff series with the Avalanche 2-2 yesterday.

I'll provide my opinion on that after tomorrow night's game, but am rooting for the Wild! CO Coach Rau's empty net strategy finally failed as the Wild put it in his empty net twice last night. After the second empty netter, Rau was visibly shaken. The momentum is with the Wild IMO.

That....was a friggin' instant CLASSIC.

Niederreiter with such a great game, and one of the greatest goals I've ever seen. So sweet. And that line - Heater-Brodz-Nino - where did they come from? Great game by that line.

The Genghis jinx is finally broken. LOL. Great game that went to overtime (no surprise). Wild hockey fans must be higher than any Colorado pot smokers tonight!!
