Anyone watching it? It just over half dark. Did anyone see the moon turn red? I've been watching since midnight and didn't see it. From what I read it was supposed to happen before the total eclipse. Glad the skies cleared. Now the moon hs a weird glow around it like a a patchy cloud that isn't moving. Wish I had a good camera.

If anyone gets a nice photo will you post it? I don't think I will make it to see it all.

Wow! Thanks golfgal! You even got that other planet under the moon. I made it to the point of it being covered and turning orange. But didn't stay up till 4:30 to see the total darkness. I passed up Haley's comet when I went to Hawaii, so I really wanted to see this.

Yes, it was behind the sun. What you need to do when that happens is use binoculars - the extra magnification will allow you to see right through the sun! Trust me, I swear I'm telling the truth....
