I am well aware that only a small % of mn indians get hardly any money from casinos.I am well versed on this subject. The money they get is called PC( per capita payments from casino profits). And the reason most don't get much is the bulk of indians living on reservations is up north where its sparsly populated and the casinos the have don't make much money because they are small and out of the way from most gamblers.Mystic Lake tribal members on the other hand get over 1.2 million a year because they only have about 300 members, a very profitable casino and tribes dont share PC payments with other tribes in the state. But regardless of all that the state should still get a cut just like the rest of the states do.
As far as the res crime gos I think its time to abolish the reservation system.I don't think it benifits the average indian just a select few at the top.Trying to live in two separate worlds would drive me to drink too.

Are those huge homes just north of the casino part of the reservation?

Not sure if they are officially on reservation land or not. Doesn't matter though. The tribe members do not have to live on the reservation to receive their fat pay checks.
