Heres the deal, I lost my job last march and have been on unemployment since, last month I helped do fall harvest for the month and was paid by the farmer for my help. when he paid me he asked for my social #, I assume he needed it for tax purposes. My question is now a week and a half later I just realized I had also recieved UI benefits while working, so what should I do? Should I call the UI office and tell them or should I not claim my benefits for the next month to avoid getting in trouble for not claiming my wages? Some help would be much appreciated.

Yes, call them. They will assist you in what needs to be done. Just be prepared to be on hold a LONG time.

If you call around when their office opens in the morning (IIRC it's 7 or 8 AM) the hold times actually aren't bad.

If you live close to one of the area offices, you could also go in there. I had to go in and talk to them because my account got locked and I was dreading having to wait in line for hours and fill out tons of paperwork. I actually didn't have to wait in line at all, and only had to fax in a couple of things to the main office.
