I was ready for spring last summer.

Butt seriously, I just got back from 10 days in Hawaii and I'll tell you what, I didn't miss anything here, including the weather. Spring here is really awesome though, so I'm excited for some fresh greenery.

I don't remember ever getting snow on Memorial Day--maybe in the far northern part of the state, maybe but not in the metro area.

Maybe there was snow, but no accumulation?

Snow is just like rain. It can be snowing in one part of the metro (even your town) and no snow in the other part... ..

My mother has pictures of us kids outside on Memorial Day and it was snowing, but that was in Brainerd. The snow would melt as soon as it hit the ground.

Can't wait for Spring. Even though it's still technically winter, these temps in the 40's have it feeling a lot like Spring. I could actually see us being done with accumulating snow here in the cities. Temps in February were well below average and so far in March they've been above average, so it looks like we're compensating for such below-average winter temps

We are trying to find the closest golf course that will be open for spring break--defiantly spring fever here.

I emailed the course we are looking at in Des Moines, IA and they are planning on opening next week .

I just looked in one of my planters in the back yard and some of my tulips are poking up.

Here to! I'm so excited I am going to start my tomato seedlings inside this weekend. I cant wait to get into the garden, but there is still a pretty large snow pile sitting back there melting away.
I really wish the sun would come out though. Its been a week, enough already!

It's 63° here right now---we finally took down our Christmas lights this afternoon .

Minnesota Spring--if I started some flowers from seed this week would they be big and blooming by mid-June? I am not much of a gardener but DS17 graduates from high school and we have a lot of places to put hanging baskets, etc. around our yard that we don't normally use but I would like to for his grad party.

I asked this on another board and they told me just go to the greenhouse now and buy them, I laughed.
