This ongoing intense heat wave across the region continues to rewrite the record books with numerous record temperatures broken or tied from the morning lows to the afternoon highs.

Everyone should use extreme caution this heat wave that is expected to continue through Wednesday.

yep, here too in AR. We have a heat advisory until Thursday night at 7pm. We were supposed to go to the baseball game tonight. Needless to say we are not leaving the house.

Thats the heat index.
The humidity is the awful part of it all. The midwest has been bathing is stifling heat and humidity all summer as well.
The heat index is over 100F up here in Southern Minnesota as well today!

The worst part is that this heatwave doesn't seem to have an end. It's supposed to "cool down" into the upper 90s during the weekend, but that's still hotter than average. This summer in general has been hotter than usual, which of course makes me more eager to get away from here.

Yes, I will admit that it's been a hot summer nearly everywhere east of the Rockies. I'm just making excuses, that's all. I know firsthand that air conditioning isn't as prevalent in the north as it is here, so overall they've likely suffered a worse summer than we have.

I like it hot. Hot summers are always better than cold winters. Two winters in Korea and one winter in Endicot, NY. I'll take hot weather.
