Are misquitoes actually as bad there as I've heard? I grew up in Arkansas in a town surrounded by rice and cotton fields. I have memories of not being able to sleep at night because of the buzzing bugs flying around my face at night... Anyways, I live in St. Louis now and am really concerned about the bugs. I just want to know HOW bad... Some people here in St. Louis say they think misq. are bad here and I have yet to see one. So on a scale of 1-10 (10 being worst) with consideration to other places you've lived or visited, how bad are they? Thanks for the help!

Mosquitos are BAD in MS. I get bitten everytime I go in the yard. I hate those pests! They are not as bad away from water areas -- in other words, if you live near the Reservoir in Rankin County or the River area, they are much worse. Good luck.

They spray for mosquitoes frequently in the reservoir area so they aren't that much of a problem in residential areas.
