I am an early retiree (55) and unable to obtain individual health insurance due to pre-existing conditions. We had been Planning on relocating to Florida; sadly, I will be unable to obtain health insurance there.

I have learned that MS has a high risk pool, and the premiums are affordable for us. (cheap by comparison to what I'm currently paying.) I'd like to hear from anyone who has used this insurance. Any comments, good or bad, would be appreciated.

(I am fully aware of the first phase of the health care reform act that set up PCIP for people like me. I am NOT willing to risk being in that program at this point in time. If the HCRA gets repealed, the PCIP will disappear. Also, you must go without insurance for 6 months to be eligible. Those are not acceptable risks, IMO.)
