Is anyone from this town or knows anything about it? I would love to get all possible details about it, good and bad.

This is a rural community that happens to be about 10 minutes from the booming suburbs west of Hattiesburg in Lamar Ciunty. The area is heavily forested with slightly rolling terrain.

Before moving to OCean Springs I was living in Lumberton for about 4-5 years since Katrina, which is about 5-6 miles out of Purvis, since Lumberton is a town trying to separate from the rest of the country IMO, most everyone there does its business in Purvis.

With that said, I believe Purvis is growing to some extent as they added a Auto Zone and Freds there within the last 2-3 years.

Although IMO I believe Lamar County in general is the ass crack of the state of Mississippi. You move into Lamar county, you will be bored, their is nothing to do, you going to want to get out very quickly.

I was wanting out not even 2 years after Katrina hit, the Mississippi Gulf Coast has been the best place to live IMO. Hattiesburg I think its easy to get sick of that place as well even though its more tolerable.

But I think the further North you go in Mississippi, the worse it gets.
