I appreciate all the perspectives shared about my beloved Alligator. I would love to hear from Chris Balducci if possible. I moved away from the South in 1981 and have been back from time to time. It saddens me too that I can't see many of the things from years ago. I can only reminence from the past and I am looking to create the historical view of Alligator. Not many left around who can fill in the gaps. I would like to get as many memories as possible from those who can remember the stores, store owners, and other businesses from there.

For years the busiest place in Alligator was Bruno's on Highway 61. Owned by Bruno Fava, he sold almost everything you could legally want. Mr. Fava died a few years ago and his son-in-law Sbravati (forgot his first name) took it over. Now the store has been sold again.

Television producer and director Fred Coe was born in Alligator.
