Default moving to corinth

We live in the Corinth area and are also transplants. There is not much to rent here....we were very lucky to find one! However, the cost of living is pretty cheap if you decide to buy. A nice rental home here goes for about $600-800/month. If you have any more questions about this area, please feel free to ask me. We have been here for about 2 years now.

I may have to look for a place vigilantly if ever I make it there.

Instead of looking in Jackson, look in the Brandon or Rankin County area. That is east of Jackson towards Forest. The Reservoir area is especially nice and it isn't a bad drive from there to Forest on I20.

The Jackson area newspaper is the Clarion Ledger. You might check the classifieds on their website for listings. There are plenty of apartments in Brandon and at the Reservoir. Most are listed on apartments.com.

Default thanks again auntbee!

If I think the prices of real estate in MS is more affordable than anywhere else that I can work (as of the immediate future), will I be frowned upon...I mean if that is my main reason of why am I moving into there?

I wouldn't move to Mississippi for any reason now that I know what I would be getting myself into. Yes the people can be nicer and giving but they can also be very ruthless and competitive when they discover that u r from California or Seattle because people from California and or Seattle tend to have a more outgoing personality and more of a polished appearance. Something that many well off people and employers value even here in Mississippi. And unless u know someone who could help u get a job forget it u might as well stay in California or Seattle and the average wage here is $7.40hr and rent in a clean and safe building can run anywhere from $600 per month for a 2 bedroom to $780 or more per month. You do the math, and people here gossip a lot for example u may complement your female co-workers jacket or blouse and by noon everybody in the office have heard that you are gay. And unless u attend church and you have a well known respected family in the area u can forget about keeping your job for very long u r as good as the next rumor.
