According to The Weather Channel, there is apparently a mysterious land mass located somewhere between New Orleans and Mobile. The only reason it's making news is that they expect Isaac to make landfall there sometime Wednesday.

So if any of you know anybody who might be living in this land mass please take the proper precautions.

I found this page and loved it! I am orginally from Gulfport and was there during Katrina so I know where they are coming from.

Be safe MS!

Lol. I swear I saw that they had TWO reporters stationed in Gulfport this morning. I wonder if they know Gulfport is in Mississippi.

That explains why they recently changed the name of the river that flows between Minneapolis and St Paul to "The River Flowing To The Gulf of Mexico River"

Weather Channel.....not sure where they hire their staff. Saw a report a couple of hours ago covering the Alabama battle ship and Mobile Bay.

Only problem was on the bottom of the screen it displayed the location as "Mobile Bay, MS."

Whew, at least this gave ya'll a bit of a laugh -- which you probably need right now.

When I was growing up in Atlanta you could always tell the new reporters on tv. None of them could pronouce the Indian names for towns, rivers, etc. in the whole state.

Ya'll have a lot of people in the other parts of the southeast hoping something slows this storm down. Stay safe.

Some of them can't even pronounce Mobile, they don't understand its pronounced "Moe-beel".
