Hello everyone,

We have our first anniversary coming up and will probably go out to dinner and I was just wondering if anyone has any good suggestions on a nice place for this occasion? It don't have to be a cheap cheap place but I definatly wouldn't feel comfortable spending 100$ to eat. I love Italian food but we are just looking for a nice place (no screaming kids, bad service, etc.). Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Also I guess I should mention, anywhere from Gulfport to Ocean Springs would be ideal, even Mobile would be fine too! Thanks again!

Keep in mind that I have not been in Biloxi for a number of months and am trying to pull all of this from memory.

In Biloxi just off of the Division Street and Caillavet Street intersection is a large blue building that says something to the effect of Poultry And Seafood on it. Facing the Division Street side of the building is a cafe built into the building. I believe it's called Buno's or something to that effect.

They're very reasonable on prices - I often got lunch there for less than 10 bucks, but I have simple tastes in food. They do have some somewhat expensive dishes that I could not advise you on because I was never interested in them - and it's nice, if a bit quaint and quirky. The food is extremely fresh and was probably the best seafood I had while in the Gulfport - Biloxi area.

However, I am not entirely sure about the Anniversary appropriateness of it, as it's really just a small seafood cafe in a larger building and isn't specifically romantic in its approach. It's your call. The food's great but your lady might be a bit let down with the atmosphere.

I can guarantee that there will be no screaming kids as I have never seen a kid in that place, ever. The wait staff is pretty average, so the service isn't great but does not suck.

Hope it helps.
