So today I decided to destress from the stupidity and madness that is Memphis and venture into my fortress of solitude the Great State of Mississippi.

Here is my report for winter 2014: I took Highway 72 to the Alabama border. Drove through Corinth and stopped at Jack's. Jack's is a must have if you are in North Mississippi or Alabama. Good chicken and burgers. Anyways Corinth seems to be thriving for a town its size. Has pretty much everything you need in a town and seems to be benefiting from the growth North Mississippi is experiencing.

Crossed Alabama line and took Natchez Trace to Tupelo. Along the way stopped at a couple Choctaw mounds to pay respect to my ancestors. Tupelo pretty much looked the same as it has been for the pass four years.

Took I-22/Highway 78 back to Memphis. Passed through New Albany. New Albany is booming. They are benefiting from I-22 going thru it now. So new subdivisions and new exits on the interstate. Also new businesses. Benton county was added to the Memphis metro area last year and I for see New Albany and Union county being added by next census

Benton county is also seeing a little development. Once in Marshall county portions of Holly Springs near the interstate are booming with commercial and economic activity. The eastern portion of Marshall near Byhalia, Mineral Wells, and Ingram Mills appears to be blending into the explosive growth of Desoto county.

Saw a lot of progress on the Marshall/Desoto county border for future I-269 as well.
