Hey, we are wanting to sell our house and move down to the Olive Branch/ Byhalia/Southaven area. Problem is a big mean dog, two messy kids, and loads of junk. We heard that some new subdivisions (or their own mortgage companies) will defer your payments for around six months. We want to sell our house empty (clean), but really can not afford to rent and pay the current house note. Has anyone heard of this, and if so we are looking to buy from around 180,000 to about 220,000. I know many of you are just saying clean your house and lock out the dog when you show it, and that is probably the reality. Thanks.

Whos to say your house will sell in 6 months?? If you can't afford two mortgages then its best for you to wait.

Lightbulb Deferred Mortgage

The housing market is in very bad shape right now for sellers. I can feel your pain as we are also attempting to sell. I can not offer any guidance with your question other than to refer you to the Real Estate Professional's forum, and/or Mortages forum, on City Data. Have you submitted your question about deferred payments there? If there is any one who can probably provide you any information on this subject, it would be them. Be certain and mention you are inquiring into the Mississippi real estate market. Best of luck to you and sorry I could not be of more assistance.
