Hi, I am thinking to relocate to MS, there is a chance of getting a job in the hospital system. I do not know what are the bad neighborhoods to avoid. When I visited the town, I just stayed a couple of days but noticed that everything was closed around 9:30 pm.

What are the best places to try to rent or buy a house? lets say no more than $1400 for rent, or 300-350k to buy.

Any particular bad areas to avoid?

Thank you guys.

Can't think of anything to avoid in your purchase range.
I'm not familiar with the rental market, although I do own a couple. I doubt that there is much available.
can tell you everything about Tupelo... Moderator cut: advertising link removed . DM instead. Where to buy; where to rent.

Thanks for the link, it will likely be very useful. I still would love to hear from non realtor members of the site, because, well, I have had this experience before...realtors are selling you something all the time, and very often they don't tell you all the bad stuff you need to hear.

Yes indeed, they have something to sell. And I don't think endorsing real estate agents are allowed in citydata.

Tupelo - I visit and drive through there frequently, attended a few events there, not much comment except that it seems to be a pretty and peaceful town, they don't pop up in the news much, either positively or negatively.
Not sure if we have any posters here that live there.
