Seems like this would be a fun one. I'm surprised somebody didn't come up with this idea already. Not to speak for SamIAm, but .... perhaps Sam could start a Sticky IF people post enough videos, comments, etc?

Anyway, I'll start this show with an easy one.

Woody the Redneck - CONFEDERATE FLAGS from Woody

Hint: I vote Obvious Satire. The accent, tone, and the essential substance is far too over-the-top, Hollywood-like to be realistic. If there are more than a few people like this in Mississippi, I need to know the precise county in which you've seen more than a few of these types before I start to believe it.

Speaking for myself only, I don't like satire ridiculing Southern people. I find it offensive.

We do it to ourselves. How many times have you heard an advertisement on the radio done by a Southerner using an exaggerated accent (Yee-Haw, Pa-Paw, whar'd you git that thar camper?)

I hate the stuff, myself, but there is no escaping it. These days it is considered very chic in some circles to portray yourself as a dumb-a$$. And until "dumb-a$$ chic" disappears from the entertainment arena we will all suffer the consequences.

I particularly don't like it when it is done by other than Southern people and that is where it always goes. But that is just me.

I started this thread because, as offensive as others may see it (including me), this can be an excellent way to educate others about what others can expect to most likely see.
