Can you tell me your opinions on the school systems in Corinth and Alcorn Co. I have searched the rankings on many research sites and have determined the schools in question fall somewhere in the mid-range when considering funding, teacher to student ration, testing, etc.

Would you send your child to Corinth city schools (we are in first grade)? Would you send your child to Alcorn County schools and if so which ones?

We are relocating and a little nervous over the education question, everything else looks great.

Smile Definitely Corinth City

The school system for Corinth City is awesome. You should know, many of the buildings are old but the high school structure is new and provides so many resources.

Alcorn County schools are very rural and without funding.

I would send my children to Corinth City hands down.

Good luck!

I would suggest Corinth City Schools, they have alot more to offer than the county does. The superintendent of the city has obtained alot o grants for the city schools which will cut down on alot of out of pocket expenses. The city also scores alot higher on test than the county. I have a kindergarten which is also in the same area as the first graders and she loves it! Mrs. Butler is a great principal at this school. Trust me, choose the city!!!

I went to K-6 at Alcorn County School(Kossuth), and my family moved into to town and I went 7-12 at Corinth, and the degree of education is much better at Corinth. If me and my husband had kids they would go to Corinth.
