I'm dissapointed in you Mississippians. Lol. Also, Is the povery the worst in the Delta area? I've seen a few short documentaries, but they could have been just focused on the negative. Is their affluence in that area? I flew over it from LA to NY and their were no clouds, and I found it so fascinating to see, even from 30,000 feet. I starred at the whole country before me the whole flight on a cloudless day. It was brilliant. So different than Driving accross. (which I did to get to CA)

Yes of course we have knowledge of other regions, but trust me, it's not that different from one region to another in the US. The reason we are making fun of this thread and not taking it seriously is it appears you are trying to classify us based on some sort of misconceptions and stereotypes perhaps you have about our state. I don't know but you may be one of those who gather knowledge of the south from watching Dukes of Hazard's reruns, we get them in this forum all the time. We have plumbing in our houses, we have schools and cities and beaches and suburbs. The same McDonalds down the street, the same grocery store chains, we have a relatively diverse and varied population, some very educated, some poor, some brilliant, some ignorant, different political opinions, different backgrounds. A lot like, well....people from Connecticut. We aren't all like the extra's from the set of Deliverance.

You want different? I just got back from the People's Republic of China. I also travel to India. Trust me, traveling to Connecticut is not what I would call different.

I would surmise Connecticut to be one of the wealthier New England states, probably due to the fact that most who live there work/or come from NY. CT use to be the wealthiest state for years, but now MD has taken over that spot (DC influence). MS still remains dead last, but still the only state I like best...after seeing all, (except AK) no other state in the union offers more of what I desire most. I would tend to think CT is culturally mature, but not to the extend of MS...perhaps in just a different way. I think it is a cold, dreary, snowy, cloudy, yucky mess for 6 months of the year...very undesirable. I think the people are blue bloods, but were friendly when I was there. Its pretty much a grand New England state, not as great as Maine...but close. Certainly a vast improvement over, let say, some moronic, tree hugging weirdo state like Oregon...my least favorite state; which would improve the status of the country greatly if it were to just fall into the Pacific Ocean and disappear (and take CA and WA with it)...so worthless...just like its residents.

Those are the facts. Mississippians are so insular, I'm not sure if they care much about anything outside their own social and political milieu either.
And vice versa for that matter. Do you really think either states populaces could give a flying f--k?

You really gotta wonder about someone from Connecticut who is willing to judge people from Mississippi by how much they know about HIM!
