One reason I love Mississippi is because of the weather. My sister told me it is snowing down there. I don't believe it!!! Do you guys even have snow plows down there? In Wisconsin we having gotten so much snow it is just ridiculous.

Tupelo supposedly got some snow. I will be there Sunday. I will check with the locals and see if the stuff actually stuck.

I did not even know that it snowed in Mississippi. Not appreciably, anyway.

We had about 6-8 inches at my house about 15 minutes south of Memphis. I took the dog out at 3 A.M. and it was piled high. When I woke up later today it was mostly gone.

Wow!!! I don't believe it that much snow in the south. I'm so glad it did not snow in Wisconsin, maybe God is giving us some relief. Thank God!!!

No, I don't think Mississippi has snow plows. MDOT does have trucks that salt the highways in anticipation of winter weather, which happens 3-4 times a year in North Mississippi and last for a couple of days.

We did have 6 inches in Desoto County early Sat morning but most was gone by Sat evening. This is the most snow we have had in probably 10 to 12 years.
Today (Monday) it was 61 & suppose to be 71 Wednesday.
We use to get snow most every winter & I remember Christmas morning 1983 it was zero degrees

Our version of a snow plough is for the MDOT trucks to put a blade on the front of the trucks and use that to plough the snow. Unfortunately, we have not had the need for them in the past few years, our ground hardly ever freezes anymore. btw, we had 2 inches of snow here just north of Tupelo.
