Hi everyone,

So I'm in the process of relocating to Tupelo and I was wondering what the apartment market looks like? I'm relocating from Seattle,WA and we aren't going to buy until we've been in the area at least a year. All the apartments I'm finding are income restricted. Are there any new nice non income based apartments in the area? Any info is super helpful.

Thanks,
CC

It's pretty tight. Apartments can be hard to find.

Not sure what "income restricted" means, though. We have a couple of town houses we rent out and I am not familiar with the term. To us, if you make enough money and have the cash flow you are qualified to rent.

There are a few nice apartment complexes - you know, with gates and security and new construction. My favorite is actually in Belden.

Yeah income restricted in the sense that I make too much money to live there. They have special requirements that you can't make over a certain amount. Thanks so much I'll check out the link.

Some apartment housing in other states are set aside for fixed and low income people so, if you make over a certain amount of gross income, they will not let you live there. Most of the apartments are really nice quality and well kept so, they are desirable to live in. If you look up the rent amount and they are pretty affordable for what you get, they are probably income restricted housing.
