I am thinking about moving to Biloxi, however I have some concerns about the racial dynamic there. it being Mississippi and all. I am a so-called African American with a so-called white wife with two kids. How much of a problem would this be in this area

You won't have a problem, no more than anywhere else. The Coast is laid back, all kinds of folks down there, it's not just black and white.

I don't think you will have an issue. This is a different time and there has been a shift in attitude as the younger generation comes in. I am 44 and married to a non white woman, and we live in North Mississippi. We don't have issues. We visit the coast from time to time and everyone treats us fine.

You won’t have any problems. If you decide to live South of I-10, your big problem could be hurricanes.. Before you buy, price insurance.

I've never lived in Mississippi but I have family there and my partner and I visit the coast often. He is black and I'm white. People have been nothing but kind and welcoming to us. The South certainly has race relations issues and has for centuries, but I think the MS Gulf Coast is one of the friendlier places in the region.

on the coast you won't have any racial issues to speak of. in central MS and the delta the black population will be the ones to give you the biggest grief. in NE MS it would be the white population causing issues.
