Lesbian/lgbt community near tupelo? (Jackson, Starkville: universities, income, live)

I tried going to a support group and the unitarian church a few years ago, but there were never any lesbians/bisexual women or anyone under 30. I'm not really interested in dating or hooking up, I'm just looking to meet people who are similar to me but I have no idea where to start. Does anyone know of anything? (I'm under 21 btw, so no bars.)

There are organizations called Starkville Pride, UM Pride in Oxford, Out Memphis, and PFLAG Tupelo, most of which have facebook pages and websites.

Yes, Jackson's Fondren community have a small LGBT area.

You are only an hour away from Starkville and Oxford and a couple of hours from Memphis and Tuscaloosa (four major universities), you'd probably find plenty of company in any of those locations.

That took me 15 seconds (or less). A quick glance tells me that several of those entities have outreach geared toward young Gay people who do not have any money.

I assume that limited income, and thus limited transportation, are what's keeping OP from driving to the nearby university towns. However, it seems that several of the entities listed below, can be contacted.

Where to meet women like you, IN TUPELO? Join a gym. Far more than in a church or a bar, a gym is where you'll meet women who're actually doing things with their lives. And, while you're waiting, you'll be doing something positive with your life - and body - exercising - becoming as attractive as is possible for you to be.

In my old gym outside Jackson, I've been talking to Gay MEN, while they were keeping an eye on their cell phones, because they had something called "Grindr". More than once, they'd bet a Grindr ping from someone THERE, AT THE GYM, who was 'looking' (and then, I'd get an eyeful... "What do you think, Gloria? Good enough?").

And I've been with a trainer, who'd get hit-up by women on other, non-Gay, social media apps - women right there at the gym. "Go DO her...", I'd insist, and my Trainer would go out to the parking lot, and...

And OP, I can't stress enough, that social issues are far less important than are financial issues. Enough money, and problems evaporate. At your age, positioning yourself to make plenty of money, is more important than anything else - vastly more important.
