Hi. I'm considering renting a 2 story, 3 bedroom/2 bath home in OB, MS. 2,100sqft. Built in 1998. Before I make the move from Memphis, I wanted to find out approximately how much I can expect to pay for utilities each month. We'll probably only run the ac/heat downstairs for the most part, and block off the upstairs except on the weekends. I know no-one will be able to give me an exact amount. I'm just looking for maybe an approximate cost from someone who might have a similar home or something.
Thank you for taking the time to read and/or help me with this!

I don't think utilities in Olive Branch is any different than anywhere else in the state. It also depends on if your going to go full electric or gas for heating and electric for everything else. My gas bill during the winter is around $130 bucks and during the later spring and early fall it's around $50. Electricity is usually around $125 a month except in the summer when it's around $150.
Thanks! The reason I asked is because in Memphis, MLGW covers all the utilities (water, gas & electricity), and I heard in MS they're all separate, and a little more expensive. I was just trying to see if my utility bill would greatly increase or something. I appreciate the reply!
Olive Branch is served by an EPA in TVA's territory, same as MLGW. They should be cheaper than neighboring Entergy, which is a private for-profit corporation.
My house is twice the size that you are looking at and both my wife and I work from home so the heat/AC is constantly being used. That said, my lowest payment to Northcentral Electric was just under $100 last April and the largest was $260 last August. For Atmos Energy (gas) the lowest was November of last year at $15 and the highest in February at $180. I'm on Southaven water/sewer/trash so I don't know if this can compare. My bill ranged from $15 to $75.
I use Comcast for internet, DirecTV for TV and CenturyLink for home phone and security. Those will vary by the packages you choose.
family and I are looking to relocate to Olive Branch soon. Looking for rental houses 2 possibly 3 bedroom. Husbands job is relocating him and I am a Personal Care Assistant with 12 years experience. I have checked craigslist for homes any other suggestions?
