At the top of my life’s bucket list is to do some of the Mississippi Delta Blues tour. I’ve read there are about 200 Blues markers, but I mostly want to concentrate on the Delta region.

The Delta is third world country, a lot of poverty and lot of (mostly petty) crime. There is a MS RVers Facebook group, join it and be sure to get recommendations on campgrounds, most will be fine, but don't assume all are safe.

There are Rver's and then there are other RVers. I think you might be one of the "others", which means you'll do just fine.
If you are getting around in your Chevy Express that you wrote about once, no one will give you 2 glances. I expect you'll fit right in and get along fine.
My wife's cousin is an RVer who wouldn't fit in. He has a bus, and he is towing a Jeep. His bus looks like it cost $400,000, which it did, and his Jeep is brand new. They want and expect first class service everywhere they go.
I was in Clarksdale once talking to a "fit in" type of Rver. He was parked downtown right in front of the Blues museum and was plugged into city service. He had gone to the trouble of asking a police officer if he should register or pay a fee and the officer told him, "Naw. Ain't nobody care".
I hope you fit in. I hope you talk to people, find the man who builds canoes in Clarksdale, eat too much and enjoy yourself.
Find MS Hwy 1 over by the river and take it South a ways. Go through all the dying towns. Drive with your window down so that you can return the curious wave you might get. Get curious about where this road leads or that one. We got lost on a dirt road and I knew just enough to turn when I saw power lines; they always lead back to civilization, and that one did, too.

Why don't you call the Chamber of Commerce in Clarksdale? They used to provide electric hookups in front of the Delta Blues Museum, and maybe they give parking passes or something like that. It's all well lighted and secure looking. You can walk over to The Ground Zero Blues Club, with is owned by Morgan Freeman.

Ok, I’ll try the Chamber of Commerce and see what they recommend.
Another thing I can do is book two nights at the Shack Up Inn, they have a lot of land so I’m sure my little trailer can fit next to one of the cabins. I really do want to stay there. I’ll just have to rush around and see the sights and go to Ground Zero.
If I see Morgan Freeman, this whole board is going to know it !

The guys who run Shack Up Inn are easy to please, and I'd be surprised if they had any objections to having your trailer parked on premises.
We stayed in one of the cotton bins that had been converted to a room. The building where the cotton gin was located, now has a bar and a stage that is used for bands from time to time.

Another thing, you're gonna have to eat, so try some Mississippi Tamales. I suspect you won't have any trouble finding them.
