Desoto County is a great place to live but expanding potential jobs for your wife to Memphis (and FedEx, etc.) will greatly increase opportunities. A general business degree with little experience/business skills is not going to garner much of an income in Desoto County.

If she works as a phlebotomist, she may be able to get a job at an urgent care or other walk-in type facility in DeSoto County. I'm not sure if the local hospitals like Baptist hire phlebotomists only. Doubtful, but worth looking at DeSoto Baptist.

I agree with viverlibre that a general business degree without any experience is not going to garner much income. I don't know how employable that will be period, even if you expanded to Memphis.

You should be able to find plenty of employment as a truck driver in the area, but you'll likely be based out of Memphis.
