Several years ago I was on my first trip to the South. We hit parts of Al, MS, LA, FL & GA. I had never seen a Shoney's before but was in one for breakfast. My daughter-in-law is from the South and I texted her saying "I need advice in a hurry. I am in a Shoney's and Lynyrd Skynyrd just came on the music they are playing. Am I supposed to kneel or stand and salute"? She texted back and said "Either one will be fine, they already know you are from there". Always loved that music, even if I am a California boy. Well I'm 69 this month, maybe not a boy.
