Wow, that's a tough one. I lived there for many years and can tell you that there's not a whole lot to do that's not outdoor related. There are a number of antebellum homes that you could drive by, but I doubt that kids would enjoy that. The downtown used to have some cool shops but those are all gone. There are a few locally owned restaurants here and there. There is a small mall but it is junk. You might be better off watching movies in your hotel room

There are a few things. You can go to the Tennessee Williams House, the Riverwalk/trail. There is a great farmers market, but I don't think it opens til May.

Go to Starkville and watch an MSU baseball game or the spring football game. Super Bulldog Weekend is this weekend.

There is an arcade of sorts on Hwy 45, just north of Hwy 82,; can't remember the name. They had bowling, trampolines, bumper cars and laser tag. Used to be good, but last time I checked, their Google reviews had tanked.

To my knowledge their for the public. You can have different types of applicable sports. There's a dog park further down at or near 7th ave. The nearby area as a whole is being redevelop for broader residential/ commercial activities in the future.
