MS lost about 6,000 people from 2010 to 2020.

yes we lost 6,000 but we also diversified. The population of whites dropped but the population of minorities grew which I think is good.

What needs explaining? Less white people is good. Of course, that's blatantly racist, but it's the 'right' kind of racist.

We wouldn't need to talk about 'diversity' if people would stop talking about black/brown/white and start looking at everyone like Americans.

But that's not what you did.
You racialized the issue and now you urge others not to.

I was responding to the post that 'racialized' it. First with an a bit of sarcasm, then with a bit of reality.

I understand what you meant. My opinion is that there is little joy living in a monochromatic society. We must not allow ourselves to become so polarized that we can't appreciate and enjoy those differences. And those differences are what make life more fun! We all have much more in common than we realize.

Mississippi is going to be fine. I believe it is headed in the right direction.

The loss was due to attrition and not enough replacement from in-migration or births.

Yeah, the population got a little less white because the median white person is a good deal older than the other ethnicities. There's nothing racist about this. It just is what it is.

I’m surprised Mississippi’s population only shrunk by about 6,000. It seems like Greenville alone lost that many people.
