This has absolutely nothing to do with the statute of limitations, it's about putting an 88-year-old (reportedly on hospice care) on trial. Any mediocre attorney would easily be able to keep delaying the case for years.

Nazi war crimes and their prosecution are handled differently, you can't compare apples to oranges.

I'm for justice, no matter how delayed, but in this case, she will not be brought to trial due to her age and frailty. You can't compare this (conspiracy or accessory charge at the most?) to a Nazi prison guard involved in mass genocide.
