Google! I just had to do this myself, got it sitting in the driveway right now. Took me a few days to track down someone to deal with my quantity. How much do you need? Most places want to deliver no less than a full truckload of 12 yards or so. Here in Winona that's about 450 bucks; I managed to get half a load for 350 cash. JJ Ferguson is just about everywhere but they ain't gonna talk about less than one load. Lots of indie gravel pits though, just google for gravel in your area.

yep if you are in town just call the city. If you live outside the city call the county road crew. BTW if there is any highway resurfacing going on nearby you can sometimes score a truckload of scraped asphalt. That stuff makes a great drive, we got a load a few years back for 250 bucks which is way less than a load of rock and after a year or so it's almost like a paved drive. Just stop the man in the pickup who looks like he's in charge and ask, thats all it takes.

A full size load of gravel is like 16 tons. Given most trucks have a hard time carrying more than a half ton, that's like 1/32 of a load. It's still cheaper than delivery, but that comes to like 150 bucks a load and you gotta make 30 trips and unload it yourself.
