Lived in MS twice before, Long Beach and Biloxi. Coming back in October/November of 09...if I find a job...which I know I will. Born and raised in a suburb of Milwaukee...to a Yankee Mother and a Father who was born and raised in Long Beach, MS...so...do I at least get to be considered half-baked southern...or will I always be a yankee???

Although I find all of MS attractive, there really are two Mississippi's... the coast and the rest of the state. I would only live on the coast...anything north of I-10 and I may as well be in WI!

I've lived a couple time in Orange Grove...I actually liked the area...I'm just moving closer to the beach again this time...I lived in Biloxi like 10 min walking distance to the beach when Katrina hit.

I can probably deal with anywhere in Gulfport, only West Biloxi...and possibly Long Beach

You guys don't know what you're missing out on here in Jackson!

I like the coast a lot too! It has a lot to offer, and the rebuilding that is still going on from Katrina helps retain jobs and encourage growth. It will be interesting to see how the coast rebuilds though, as I know some areas are remaining true to pre-Katrina where as some are going complete overhauls.
