Check out the subdivisions off porters chapel and indiana road, the openwood area just off 61 north, and there are a few places south of town down fisher ferry rd great for kids.

Are the children school age? If so, this will affect where you would want to live. There are several nice subdivisions in and around. Little Wood off of Lee Road (off of Indiana Avenue) is new with some beautiful houses. Fairways is a little further north off of Oak Ridge Road but has nice houses. Even further up Oak Ridge Road is Lakeland Village which is a nice, quiet neighborhood. I would probably look @ these three first.

I was just in Vicksburg this past friday. It is a beautiful little city and I am looking forward to going back and spending some time there. I really am impressed with it.

When I was younger, Openwood and Fairways and all of those small places up there were the place to be, up Oak Ridge road in the NE of the county. Not sure about now.
Too bad they closed Culkin. That was a great elementary school / academy.
