my son has accepted a scholarship to blue mountain college to play basketball. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if there are any cell phone companies that work better up their than others. We have sprint and when we were there for a visit it didn't work very well. maybe this will be true for all companies but was wondering if anyone in or near that community could tell me their thoughts thanks

I teach at BMC and I use Cingular and get very good reception. Additionally, I know there is a Cingular store in nearby Ripley. I don't know of any other cell phone companies in Ripley (definitely aren't any in Blue Mountain), but hope this helps.

I live just shy of New Albany, and most of us use Cingular, some of my friends say Spring does not work well for them.

I live on the Gulf Coast and we have a local company called Cellular South, I get excellent coverage anywhere I have been. The plus to Cellular South is that you get unlimited calls anywhere in Mississippi for 62.00 a month. You can call anywhere without roaming fees as long as you are in Mississippi, part of Alabama, Part of Tennessee, and Florida. If you plan to roam out of these areas you can purchase roaming minutes it is about 7.00 for 100. You should check out CellularSouth.com. I lived in Shreveport, La. for a while and still kept my Cellular South phone. I often could pick up calls that locals could not.
