Moving to Southaven in Two months. Does anyone have any feedback on Civic Center East apartment complex? How about any feedback on Desoto middle school and Desoto central high school? Are there youth baseball leagues in Southaven and if so what is the name. What about football youth leagues? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Youth baseball is the largest team sport in the area. The baseball complex at Snowden Grove Park has 16 fields. There are also fields on the west side of town as well as smaller baseball complexes in Olive Branch, Hernando and Horn Lake.

Have you been to Southaven.org? If you can't find your answer on the site on the PDF magazine then I'll to try and find it. My neighbor has two boys in both youth baseball and football.

Thank you, if you could find out the website for both the football and baseball leagues that would be great. Thank you for your time.

This is from the Southaven.org site:
Parks Office:
Phone: 662-890-7275

Since they are right beside the the Snowden Grove baseball complex, they will have all of the baseball details. I'll bet they even have the football details.

Default Apartments in Southaven

There are many choices for apartments in that area. Civic center complex is nice but is more expensive than some of the others. I rented from Church Lake apartments back 4 years ago. At that time they were owned by a different management company. It was a good experience renting from them.

You can negioate rental rates with every complex - don't take the quoted lease amount as fact. I was able to play one complex against the other and save $65 a month and have a covered parking space with no extra charge.

Desoto County is a county wide school district and the school are pretty good. You should have no trouble finding youth baseball but I would register your kid(s) quickly.

Best of luck and welcome to Northern MS.
