My daughter is married to young man from Booneville MS area--his father has had series of very serious to mild strokes since before their marriage a couple of years ago...he has history of high blood pressure and has mental health issues which the strokes' residual effects have complicated. He has problems with rage control at times. He normally stays home while his wife works...there was a family friend who came to visit during the day and be just kind of there to monitor his actions for a while but he had to move...his wife has to work during the day...the guy is not very comfortable around strangers and resisted going to some type of day care for adults so he has been pretty much on his own..
He lell last week at home at night and broke his hip (although he is less than 60). He had surgery to put in a screw and suffered another fairly severe stroke that affected his vision.

His drs are recommending to his wife that she seriously consider having him go to nursing home/assisted living facility, probably premanently....
Does anyone on this board have personal knowledge of facility in Booneville--Corinth and local area they would feel comfortable recommending...

he would need help monitoring his meds and don't know how much visual impairment he has right now--he is not blind, but does have vision loss...
having that broken him he will be that ambulatory--at least initially--and has some memory/cognative problems because of his strokes...

I thought maybe I could get some info to share with my daughter--they are going up there this week is her husband can get time off work...he has already taken time off work because of his dad's health this year and his bosses probably won't look to kindly on another request...

Default There is this place called www.livingineden.com

that is for young adults that are looking for an assisted living. It is not a nursing home.
