I know three guys traveling back and fourth from Great Falls and Lincoln. Problem is finding a travel buddy with the same schedule. When you have the opportunity to make good money like that, long distance travel seems minor. Most riggers who work in N. Dakota and Wyoming that still reside in Montana do it for a reason. Montana is the best place to live.

Oil field jobs offer 1 trip home per month. Best guess. I bet the author means, live in Montana though, not Missoula.

Default Smurfit-stone

Are there a lot of people still around from the Smurfit-Stone plant? I know the plant was continually bleeding jobs over the past 5 years but I believe they finally killed the plant last year. Some of the plant operators might be able to find work there but it's not a commuting type of job.
