Your question is way too general. To answer it I could say, well, Missoula is a city. It's in NW Montana. It has a university...

Ask more specific questions. Are you looking for information on housing? Facilities? The weather? People? Or what?

Smile Missoula - open to families

My husband, sons, and I all love Missoula. We have a meager income and my husband is a Graduate Student at the University of Montana. The job field is tough but it also depends on your area of interst and expertise. We were very lucky in finding a nice afordable rental and our kids go to great schools (Washington Middle School and Hellgate High). Missoula is probably the most liberal city in Montana. There are tons of outdoor activites for kids and adults alike. The school have a fabulous extra-curricular program called Flagship wherein many of the clubs and activites are low cost or free. There are all of the mid-to small - size city amenities you'd expect: Super Walmart, Target, multi-plex movie house, independant movie house, some really great dining options, a saturday farmer's market downtown, great parks, nice pools, decent library, some wonderful thriving independant businesses, an organic grocery, bicycle rental shops ets . . . The tennor of the town is realy determined by what you bring to it. How old are your kids? Where do you work? that sort of thing.
