Does anyone know of any LONG-term-stay hotels/motels/inns in the Missoula area? Google only gives me regular hotels.. and $90 a night x a month or two is a bit too much.

Im looking to move out there and need a place to stay before I search for a rental.

Thanks everybody!

Just grab a crappy trailer on a month to month contract until you find a nice rental. Crikey are you looking to throw $ down the toitie.
Forget the motels and hotels, crappy little trailers are a dime a dozen and you don't have to live amongst tweekers, drunks and trailer trash forever.
It beats trowing a bunch of money down the toitie.

While I totally agree with rickers, there's a motel in Ronan that'll do weekly or monthly rates in advance. They got decent reviews on the page linked there; be sure to read those as well.

Get Local (on Yahoo) for Ronan, MT and check Yellow Pages there (and elsewhere online, including City-Data.com). There's probably more than one. Ronan is about 40 miles north of Missoula on Hwy. 93.

Good luck.

Personally call the hotels... online told me that the cost was $80 a night - we stayed for 3 weeks at $35 a night with 2 cats. Many hotels will offer you a cut rate deal for longer term stays.

There are no "extended-stay" motels in Missoula but there are several inexpensive ones. Specials such as weekly rates aren't advertised, so call around. If you're coming in winter you should have no problem finding a good deal somewhere in town.

Strudel, can you recommend any specifically? I am coming in winter, within a month in fact!

I wouldn't choose a trailer court if you can't deal with the nuttiness that often goes along with the cheapo courts and the good ones don't save you any money.
Buy a camper and stay in it. We stayed in campers dozens of times in the winter for years doing events as vendors and wanting to save on motel fees.
Saving money seems to always force a compromise because most of the time you get what you pay for.
Moving is such a pain in the pocketbook. Like the others said try and make a deal with the motels if you don't want to rough it. Good luck to you.

I'm moving up to Missoula with my teenage son and 2 cats (next week) and our housing fell through at last minute. How do we find a 'crappy' trailer?
