When does Spring finally arrive in Missoula? That is, when are the trees in leaf, the flowers in bloom, love in the air, etc.? Would I find Spring if I visited in early June?

Default Varies a lot.

Early June is when folks with gardens are planting and many wildflowers are blooming. Many of the trees leaf out a bit earlier depending on elevation. Generally when the calender says it's spring there can still be snow on the ground and it still seems like winter but once in a while we get an early spring.
It is very unpredictable.

I lived in Missoula for a year and the spring/fall brand of weather is rather short lived. Winters are long and drawn out. They arrive sooner than most places and last longer than most places. If you visit in June, I expect the weather to be very pleasant, however.

I live in Missoula and spring is usually but not always very short. Some years it seems like we go from snow and freezing straight into burning up in the summer. But spring can be nice. June is often rainy but the temps are good. May is probably my favorite time for spring because the lilacs are blooming. I'd say late May is the best for spring.

Spring really doesn't occuring until late April early May when the green starts coming out again and everything blossums. The cold, gray weather lasts a long time in this area
