Sorry - I'll apologize beforehand. I am one of the tourists you hate.

But I do try to be respectful of the people who live in places where the world goes on vacation.

Do you all feel that Oct 1-5 is a good time to visit the park? I am concerned about weather, though the forecasts seem positive.

Thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much

Fall is gorgeous in Montana and traffic is lighter in parks.

We do not hate tourists, we only hate tur-ons-----obnoxious visitors.

There has already been a bit of snow at Glacier. There are still some wildfires going but nothing like earlier this summer. Below is link to trails or closed areas. Enjoy your trip & take warm clothes for mornings especially.

Weather forecasts are wonderful things, but this time of year it is the day-to-day reality that counts. An unexpected shift of a couple of degrees in the direction of the Jet Stream, and the forecast suddenly changes, and the temperature drops 50 degrees or so.
Logan Pass (Going To The Sun Highway) can be open in the morning, and closed due to snow by noon.
It is a great time to visit Montana. Just be aware of the weather that is happening now.
If you are planning on camping or have an RV, be aware that many, if not most, campgrounds have closed for the season.
Have a good trip.
