Heya all, We will be down in Missoula on Sat May 29- our son is going to Miscon (missoula Fantasy/Scifi Convention) and we were looking for something free, or very lowcost, or the rest of us to do while we are there for the day.
We are interested in farm animals/pets, gardening, alternative power (solar,wind,brewing), history, and many offbeat things.
Any suggestions????

Definitely do the farmer's market and/or Clark Fork Market. Take a walk on the river trail. People-watch at Caras Park. Hike the M if you're ambitious. Check out the historical museum at Fort Missoula (small fee) or the Missoula Art Museum (free).

Hang out near the con. Talk to an endless supply of very strange people who convince you that your son is remarkably normal by comparison.
I haven't been able to get to a SF con in several years
