Hi everyone,

I'll be moving to Columbia before the end of the month and am looking for someplace nice to live as I'll be starting a new job there. I only need a 1 bedroom apartment, preferably something newer with updated appliances that allows pets. It seems like as soon as I find something that looks good, I find there's a no pet policy or that the unit's walls are paper thin or some other problem. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

Good luck with your new job and move!! Someone on another thread gave some good advice and I thought I would pass it on to you. they said you might want to sign a lease for a short period of time. That way after you have been there a while, you can look around and find the perfect spot. I thought you might find a place on this website:

What's your budget?

I've found people have luck with one of the larger property management companies. We used A&B and they weren't perfect, but our place was a great price and convenient to everything.

A lot of complexes are overrun with undergrads which can be quite obnoxious, so feel free to run any listings by us.

Have you looked at Craigslist?
