You both make very good points! I cant help but wonder though why or how siblings can turn out completly different. How some can get into so much trouble and the other be an angel so to speak. It would lead me to believe that it cant be parents 100%. It could also be the friends they choose. Or different things they may have experienced or seen be it positive or negative. Watcha think?

I just found out what my youngest "the quiet one" is pulling ........ ahhhhhhhhhhh the joys of being sneakier than the child ............. shes in for a RUDE awakening this weekend - she has been staying up most of the night chatting .. we tell her to go to bed and few hours later shes up again......... "hubby accidentally took her cell phone yesterday " and I umm accidentally logged on her computer ............ My space is a interesting thing ..........at all ages ............ and the boy she thinks shes going to meet ......... Well the dummy posted his moms restaurant ....... and the dummies plan to meet there ........ ohhhhh did I mention we are going out to eat LOL

Now someone scream at me and tell me I am invading her privacy? ............... and in a few months when shes in trouble ......dont scream at me ........
I am her mother and I as her mother will do what I have to do to keep her walking that straight line! We would never done this if she was not being yelled at every night at 1 am to go to bed! ......... ya just get that tummy problem when they are going to do something!

Her brother broke me in ..............and she cant pull anything that I didnt pull! .. Believe me I pulled everything there was to pull!

SO yes it starts at home ............... and if my kid brings someone in my door that looks like a gangsta ...... guess what .........this momma is gonna get the wash cloths out and washem up!

Ya know, when I was a kid, I listened to all sorts of music with suggestive lyrics, for the time, and to be quite honest, I never had a clue as to what the words meant. I just know I liked the music, the rhythm & the beat. "Come on baby, light my fire"...."I can't get no satisfaction".....Me and Lucifer, Lucifer and Me"......who knew what that meant??? Who cared??? It was fun to listen to....pure enjoyment. No pressure....no calls to action. Not like the kids today have. They hear angry, hateful, disrespectful music that, to me, only plants the seeds of unrest, resentment & retaliation....for their various misinformed issues or self-created battles. To me, the blame & responsibility for this lies on the record industry for producing this garbage, and to the other powers that be, for allowing the kids to be exposed to this. What's the fix? I surely don't know. But whatever it is, it's going to take a lot of pressure from parents & society in general.

You Go Girl!!!!! As a mother, you do what you feel you have to do. Raising a child into adulthood is, IMHO, THE most difficult job in the world. Because you want them to be well adjusted, successful, productive, contributing members of society. So if it means going on the offensive and intercepting potential disaster...then so be it. They'll thank you for it later. Like I said....You Go Girl!!!!
