My bf is always taking me to these fun/interesting/historical places around the area. From state parks to dive bars, restaurants to historical sites. He grew up here, but I'm not from around here so I'd like to come up with some places to suggest to him! Anywhere in Missouri, really would work although if it is within an hour or two from Jefferson City, that would be best! Thanks!

At Westminster in Fulton is also the Churchill museum, which is fascinating for anyone intetested in history, esp WWII. It is interactive, not just dull exhibits. Downtown Fulton has a brand new bookstore called Well Read, Brooklyn Pizza which is new, Bek's restaurant which is nice, and a new coffee shop in the south part of town called Cafe Creme.

One really great event is the December tours of St George rectory in Hermann, the Christmas decorations are just amazing.. Hermann also has a couple of holiday events, Kristkindlmarkt, Lewis and Clark Christmas.
