Can somebody explain to me what is the point of having a sales tax holiday state wide if all of the cities can opt out of it? It looks like there are more cities not doing it than are. Is the city of Springfield so broke that they can't allow us a break one weekend out of the year? Sorry if this is a rant but having this weekend is nice especially since kids grow out of their clothes so fast.

Yeah, it's BS. At least it saves you a little bit of money. I'd rather pay 3-4% tax than 7-8%.
