Crankin' it up with another vote for Chase. 236,517 votes and holding at 53 percent.

We should be able to vault him up over the quarter million mark before the cutoff! 'Specially if and when they beat Kansas. Hey! #1 LSU fell to Arkansas, 50 to 48 in three overtimes. That could mean Mizzou could be #1 with a victory over Kansas tonight!

Well the colors aren't quite correct but I don't think they're KU's colors either! Boy am I going to be embarrassed if any of them are!

36 to 28! That turned out to be a closer game than I thought it would be. KU came on pretty strong in the 4th quarter, scoring touchdowns and holding Mizzou to field goals. It's the first time I've seen Chase Daniel in action. He reminds me of Joe Montana, the way he's able to scramble out of the pocket when the opposing defense blitzes.

No Mizzou turnovers, which is really remarkable! And they got the poor KU quarterback to throw two interceptions. The safety at the end of the game to put Mizzou up by 8 points was the real topper! That chunk of turf wouldn't come out of the quarterback's helmet! KU really had a never-say-die attitude through the whole game.

OK, so West Virginia won big today, but if this game doesn't put Mizzou at #1, what will? Onward to the Big 12 championship against Oklahoma next Saturday at 7 pm Central time!
